Producing a project is like shepherding or perhaps midwifery. Every project is different, but it can involve various things such as writing arrangements, organizing hard drives, making coffee, comforting and consoling, ball-busting, playing guitar, love, soul and science (thanks, Quincy,) rehearsing, knowing when we're done, cutting checks, booking sessions, telling the truth, encouragement and excellence. I'm not a producer that has a "sound." I view my task as making your sound happen in a direct and uncluttered way. We work together to achieve that.
I have produced music in all styles, from classical to rock, world music and jazz. There's no way to learn this skill besides doing it. I'm grateful for the experience I've had far, and look forward to future projects with enthusiasm and awe. |
